Tees Valley YMCA are proud to meet the demands of young people by providing a valuable youth resource; the region's most portable skate park.
Encouraging and advancing youth sport development, we offer a flexible skate park which consists of numerous large and curved ramps, an angle grinding box, small 'fly off' ramps and a manual box. The package is highly mobile and can be set up in most locations depending on the size and suitability of the area available.
Managed by specially trained staff and supported by young volunteers, the facility is an excellent resource for engaging with young people in the community. It offers the young people a safe environment to learn and develop new skills and gives the opportunity to share their skills with others. This empowers the young people, building confidence and self-esteem in the individual.
YSkate helps to develop social skills, encourages the safe use of equipment and directly builds relationships between the staff and skaters. This in turn can open channels of dialogue, meeting deeper needs of the group of individuals. YSkate comes fully equipped (including Skateboards, Inline Skates, and all safety helmets and protectors) and is available for hire to support outreach and community events.
